The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has attacked a passenger train, the Zafar Express, in Pakistan’s Balochistan province and taken passengers hostage. The incident took place on Tuesday (March 11) in the remote CB area of Balochistan’s Bolan district. The train was carrying Pakistani army personnel, including women and children. BBC and AFP reported. The Zafar Express, bound for Peshawar, started its journey from Quetta at 9 am. When it reached CB around 1 pm, BLA members detonated a bomb on the railway line and stopped the train. Then they took the passengers hostage at gunpoint.

Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Nawaz Rana strongly condemned the incident and wished a speedy recovery to the injured. Emergency has been declared in hospitals near the scene.
